April 3rd, 2025 – Tryouts 6:15PM – 8:00PM
Tryouts for the Remix Spring 2025 Rep Basketball Season will be held for grade 8, grade 9 and grade 10 players.
This is an opportunity for student athletes to showcase their skills, compete for a roster spot and join one of the most structured and competitive basketball programs in the region.
Tryouts will be held on two full courts to maximize evaluation time, allowing coaches to assess players in real game scenarios, skill drills and competitive matchups.
Led by Hall of Famer, Tony Simms, a pioneer of Canadian basketball, who went face to face with the GOAT, Michael Jordan, this program is built on elite training, high level competition and a proven development system that prepares players for success.

A High Performance Program for Player Development
The Remix Spring 2025 Rep Basketball Season is designed for grade 8, grade 9 and grade 10 players who are looking to train in a structured, professional environment and compete at a higher level.
With three practices per week and participation in the Phoenix League, players will be challenged in real game situations, pushed to improve and prepared for the next stage of their basketball journey.
This program is for athletes who want to develop advanced skills, refine their game and gain valuable experience in a competitive setting.

Compete in the Phoenix League
The Phoenix League has been selected for its strong competition and development focused matchups. This league ensures that every player gets the opportunity to:
- Play against high-level teams
- Improve basketball IQ and decision making under pressure
- Develop within a structured, competitive environment
The season will conclude on June 22th, 2025, giving families flexibility before summer commitments.
Note: The league may charge an entrance fee for spectators. Remix Sports Academy does not control these decisions, as they are determined by the league itself.

Training Schedule – Three Practices Per Week
A key advantage of the Remix Spring 2025 Season is the third weekly practice. Designed to focus on individual skill development, offensive and defensive strategies and high level execution.
Under the leadership of Coach Tony Simms, a Hall of Famer who helped pioneer the game in Canada, each session is structured for maximum improvement and real game application.
